Exercise & Fitness
Fact: Regular physical activity - even at moderate levels - reduces
the risk of heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure, and obesity.
Here's another fact: 65% of Americans are considered obese. So while
the risks associated with not exercising are clear, we don't seem to
be doing anything to change our sedentary ways.

Chitin Could Become become Your Number One
Weapon in Fighting Fat. Introduction to Chitin:
“Natures Miracle Fiber”
|
|
|
Never heard of chitin? It’s not exactly a household word,
yet we consume it every day. You may be surprised to learn
that chitin been a healthy part of your diet for as long as
you’ve lived.
Most people, even those who have taken biology courses in
college have never heard of chitin (pronounced
(“Kite-in”), yet chitin, after wood cellulose, is the most
abundant polysaccharide on the face of the earth. Chitin is
the fiber in shellfish shell such as crab, lobster and shrimp.
It is also found in common foods we eat such as grain, yeast,
bananas, and mushrooms. In fact, you are eating chitin every
day; it is part of your normal life-long diet, only in amounts
that won’t help you lose weight. Chitin provides much of the
fiber that is one of the keys to a healthy, cancer-free diet.
HISTORY OF CHITIN
Professor Henri Braconnot first found chitin in mushrooms in
1811 while he was Professor of Natural History and Director of
the Botanical Gardens at the Academy of Sciences in Nancy,
France. In the 1830s, it was isolated in insects and named
chitin. Professor C. Rouget discovered chitosan in 1859, and
over the next century, much fundamental research took place on
these compounds. An intense interest in new applications grew
in the 1930s and early 1940s, as evidenced by almost 50
patients; however, the lack of adequate manufacturing
facilities and competition from synthetic polymers hampered
commercial development. Renewed interest in the 1970s was
encouraged by the need to better utilize shellfish shells.
Scientists worldwide began to chronicle the more distinct
properties of chitin and its derivatives and understand the
potential of these natural polymers. Since then, numerous
research studies have been undertaken to find way to use these
materials.
Number One Fat Fighting Weapon
Chitin will become Your Number One Weapon in Fighting Fat.
Chitin is also going to help you live healthier and longer
because of its many other beneficial properties. Adding Chitin
to your diet is one of the wisest diet and health decisions
you have ever made. Let me explain why.
Most of you are interested in chitin as a diet aide. It
certainly is the best one you’ll ever find, but more about
that later. Let me tell you about a few of the other health
benefits first.
Taking chitin will not only help you lose weight but it also
is going to help you control and lower your cholesterol, blood
pressure, and alleviate stomach and bowel ulcers, indigestion
and constipation. I want you to appreciate that adding natural
chitin to your diet is going to make it possible to attain and
maintain a healthy weight, but it is also going to protect you
from disease and extend your life by many years. After you
have reached your weight goals, you’ll want to continue to
take chitin, not only to maintain your weight, but also to
remain healthy and disease free.
Chemically, cellulose, starch and chitin are polysaccharides,
which are large molecules consisting of small sugar molecules
strung together like pearls on a strand. Chitosan, a chitin
derivative is formed when chitin is heated with alkali. Chitin
and its derivatives have important properties that make them
ideal for numerous applications in food, nutrition, cosmetics,
biomedicine, agriculture, and water filtration and other
environmental uses.
Chitin has strong anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral
properties that make it extremely useful in medical
applications such as bandages, wound dressings, surgical
sutures, periodontal treatments, and cataract surgery.
Extensive research has shown chitin and its derivative
chitosan to be non-toxic and non-allergenic. Chitin is fully
biodegradable and therefore environmentally friendly.
Chitin and chitosan have been extensively examined and tested
by researchers world-wide in a wide range of medical
applications, food and nutrition uses, cosmetics, beauty aids
and other new discoveries. Today, mainly in the U.S. and
Japan, more than two million people take chitin and chitosan
as dietary supplements. Researchers are regularly discovering
new applications for chitin and the range of products expands
yearly.
Chitin has become known as the miracle fiber. Extensive
research has demonstrated it has no known adverse side
effects. Japanese medical doctors have been recommending for
at least 20 years that their patients consume large quantities
of chitin. Much of this enthusiasm is unrelated to weight
loss. In Japan medical doctors recommend chitin as a means of
helping cure such conditions as allergies, high blood
pressure, elevated blood fats, arthritis and other problems.
Recently, a best selling book “Chitin – Chitosan” by
Koji Asaoka (Vantage Press, NY, $11.95) has been translated
from the Japanese and is available in English. In Japan chitin
is a food supplement used in place of dangerous prescription
drugs.
Studies in Japan, the U.S. and Europe have shown that chitin
and its derivatives help the digestive process and promote the
growth of beneficial intestinal bacteria necessary for proper
digestion and excretion of wastes. These studies have shown
chitin to be helpful in better bowel health and the prevention
of tumors or intestinal polyps that are often the precursor to
cancers of the bowel and colon. Chitin has also been shown to
have anti-gastritis, anti-toxin, anti-diarrheal, and
anti-constipation properties. Indeed, one of the first effects
you’ll notice when you add chitin to your diet is an
immediate improvement in the quality and regularity of your
bowel movements.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
A set of symptoms occurring together is called a syndrome.
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is caused by irritability in
the digestive system. IBS is also known as “irritable
colon” or “spastic colon.” The last five to seven feet
of you bowel is called the large intestine or colon. It main
purpose is to store food that cannot be digested. When the
bowel becomes irritated, there is a change in bowel habit and
you may experience periods of diarrhea, constipation and/or
stomach pains. Other symptoms are nausea and a swollen stomach
caused by trapped gas within the colon. Stomach pain is
usually relieved by a bowel movement or passage of gas and may
be described as crampy, aching, stain, piercing or
excruciating. Whatever the case, the pains usually interfere
with sleep and cause severe discomfort. The cause is usually
poor eating habits with too many fatty foods not being
properly digested. Stress is also recognized as a cause.
Diet is the chief culprit. People who eat excess fats usually
lack the fiber and bulking foods that are required by the
colon to regulate bowel function. Smoking is also a cause, as
nicotine is known as an irritant of the colon.
Chitin and its derivatives provide the fiber necessary to
relieve symptoms of IBS. Chitin has been shown to produce
soft, bulky stools (waste material) which pass more easily
through the colon. It is also very important to avoid the
fatty foods that cause symptoms to flare. It is also important
that when one is suffering from IBS and taking chitin or any
other high fiber material that they drink plenty of liquids
and not delay bowel movements.
For years, chitin and its derivatives have been used for
nutritional and medicinal purposes in the Far East. In fact,
many people take dietary supplements made from chitin and
chitosan to improve their health. Many of those individuals
help them combat a number of ailments, including high blood
cholesterol, high blood pressure, allergies and arthritis.
They also cite improvements in skin, hair and nail health.
Studies have suggested that chitin and chitosan have a number
of health benefits, including the ability to promote the
growth of Bifidobacteria, healthy intestinal bacteria that
help ward off disease. Chitin derivatives such as chitin
oligosaccharides and chitosan oligosaccharides (smaller
components of the chitin and chitosan molecules) also are
believed to have many important health dividends, including
promotion of bowel health, anti-tumor properties and promotion
of these same beneficial Bifidobacteria.
Cholesterol-Lowering Effects
Research has shown that chitin and its derivatives may be
effective in reducing blood cholesterol levels. In 1980,
Japanese scientists demonstrated that incorporating chitosan
into diets designed to raise blood cholesterol levels in rats,
led to decreased blood cholesterol levels in animals.
Subsequent animal work showed that chitosan also may bind
cholesterol in the bowel. Preliminary results of a
supplementation trial conducted in Norway showed that blood
cholesterol levels decreased about 25 percent in adults who
consumed chitosan daily for eight weeks in addition to their
self-selected diets. Although the mechanism for lowering blood
cholesterol is not completely understood, it is thought that
chitosan molecule acts as fat scavenger in the digestive
tract, trapping both fat and dietary cholesterol which
Fiber and Weight-Loss Effects, Lactose Intolerance Aid,
Anti-Ulcer Properties
Since chitin acts like a fiber, it is largely indigestible and
passes through the gut mostly unchanged. These fiber-like
properties can be used to replace calories in foods. Research
has shown that chickens fed a form of chitin with their feed
were leaner than chickens fed regular feed.
As an added benefit, the study also found that chitin relieved
the lactose intolerance caused by feeds containing whey, a
cheese by-product containing 70 percent lactose, says Dr. John
Zikakis, professor emeritus of the University of Delaware, who
performed much of the research of chitin-fed chickens.
Normally, whey had limited use in animal feed, since it can
lead to diarrhea. But chickens fed a substantial level of whey
and chitin did not develop diarrhea, he notes. It is thought
that this same effect may be achieved in humans.
Research has shown that general bowel function and regularity
improve with the use of dietary chitin. In animal studies,
when gerbils were fed diets supplemented with chitin, the
animals became healthier, with improved vigor. Other
experiments demonstrated that when chitin was added to bread
and then fed to gerbils, the same health benefits resulted.
Similar benefits have been reported with chitin supplements in
cattle feed.
Researchers speculate that improved regularity also would
result in humans who ingest modest amounts of chitin. Chitosan
also has been shown to have antacid and anti-ulcer activity in
rats and dogs. It is believed that chitosan has physical and
chemical properties that are similar to the natural substances
which coat the gastric tract.
Summary
The current and potential applications of chitin and its
derivatives in fields such as biomedicine, nutrition, food,
processing, pharmacology, microbiology, agriculture, and
cosmetics are vast and exciting. Nearly 1,000 research papers
have been published on chitin and its derivatives and nearly
200 patents have been issued in the U.S., in addition to those
issued in several other countries worldwide. Chitin and
chitosan have an international following: scientists from
dozens of countries, including the U.S. and Russia, gather
every three years to present the newest research on chitin and
its derivatives. Many believe these natural compounds are
poised to make waves, especially in biomedical, nutrition and
food industries.
“Chitin and chitosan are ideal biomaterials which hold much
promise for the future,” notes Prodex’s Joseph Nichols.
“There has been increased interest by scientists worldwide
and industry is beginning to recognize their possibilities.
They could have very well be important biomaterials in the
next decade. The day has come for these natural polymers to
come into their own.” The foregoing information was taken
from Chitin: A Natural Product for the 21st Century,
International Commission on Natural Health Products, 1995
Once you start taking chitosan or chitin your bowels may be
lose because the fiber is new to your body. Diarrhea may
occur, this is only temporary. Your digestive system is merely
adjusting to the “shock” of having a proper fiber content.
You may want to start with one capsule twice a day until your
system adjusts to the chitin
Chitin Today
Many countries already use chitin and chitosan in a variety of
products, yet a whole array of possible materials could be
made from these compounds. In Japan, chitosan was first used
for wastewater treatment because of its metal-binding
properties, but today chitin and chitosan are found in
everything from antibiotics and surgical sutures to dietary
supplements, foods and cosmetics. It also can be found in pet
foods and is used to make cloth for undergarments and socks.
In the U.S., chitin and chitosan are being used in seed
treatment, animal feed supplementation and water purification,
as well as in hair care products and dietary supplements.
Natural substances such as chitin and chitosan demand a closer
look at a time when synthetic compounds are losing their
appeal. This brochure explores some of the research and more
popular applications of chitin and its derivatives.
If you are among the 55% of women and 25% of men in the U.S.
attempting to lose 5 pounds or more, chances are you will also
be among the 90% that regain the lost weight within a year.
Why?
Yo-Yo, Up and Down Dieting is a Killer! More Dangerous than
Excess Pounds
When you decrease your caloric intake by more than 1,000
calories per day, you begin to burn muscle, not fat. And,
since it was eating too many calories-and perhaps the wrong
kind of calories- that caused the weight gain in the first
place, returning to old eating habits will lead to regaining
weight. Most “quick weight loss” schemes are too low in
calories and harmful to your health. The chitin weight loss
program revealed here helps you achieve your weight goals the
ideal way: eating right, losing fat, and improving your
overall health so you look and feel better, inside and out.
Purchasing a fat absorbing and trapping chitin supplement is
the essential first step to a healthier, slimmer you!
You will begin by filling out the simple Guide for Healthful
Eating at the back of this booklet.. Make it Your Personal Fat
Content Worksheet. You should be eating real foods and should
not be going hungry. Remember, when you take chitin
supplements you do not have to give up those foods you’ve
always loved, not at all! I do ask you to eat intelligently,
set realistic goals, and, moreover, once you’ve used chitin
supplements to lose weight that you do not gain it back. That
is going to take some changes. The most important of which is
that you must take your chitin regularly before each fattening
meal. We urge you to carry chitin with you like someone who
uses breath mints or gum, ready to pop them in your mouth
whenever you have a fattening meal or overwhelmed by a “Big
Mac Attack.” Why Do I Need to Use Chitin?
If you are one of the millions of people who have dieted
unsuccessfully, or are one of the millions who need to lose
weight to look and feel good about yourself, you MUST face the
fact that:
1) fad diets don’t work in the long haul, and are
detrimental to your health; 2) lifestyle and eating habits
must be altered for permanent, successful weight loss; 3) good
nutrition and proper eating is the foundation of healthy
weight loss. 4) yo-yo dieting is more dangerous than being
obese.
The reason you need to start taking chitin is to help you lose
weight in the correct manner: the healthy way. Taking chitin
supplements regularly encourages you to eat real and proper
foods while augmenting your diet with what it needs. You
continue to eat what you have always eaten while you adopt
healthy eating habits.
You are not alone in the quest to become lean and healthy. The
numbers are shocking. To say the least: According to the
National Institutes of Health, 38 percent of American women
and 34% of American men are overweight. I don’t mean a few
pounds overweight, a few rolls of fat overweight, I mean
obese. That means that 38% of women and 33% of men are 20% or
more overweight.
350,000 deaths year in the United States are directly linked
to obesity. This does not include the many that die from
complications related to obesity such as heart disease,
cancer, diabetes, and pulmonary diseases. $70,000,000,000 a
year in the U.S. is spent to treat obesity and related medical
conditions.
The Battle of the Bulge
In addition American spend over 33 billion a year on weight
loss products and services. The money is not well spent as the
percentage of American adults who are overweight increase at
an average of 1% a year. We fight a personal battle of the
bulge and we are losing. For every step forward, two are being
taken backward and the effect is devastating on the personal
lives of the people who are suffering both short-term and
long-term health deterioration.
Every day comes the announcement of a new weight-fighting
weapon. The problem is that most of these are psychological
oriented pills that attempt to reduce the brain’s craving
for fattening foods. The reason that the battle is being lost
is that we are eating too much and not being active enough
Let me repeat the essential facts about chitin and its
derivatives; Chitosan, Chitin Oligosaccharide, and Chitosan
Oligosaccharide, have many properties that make them
attractive for a wide variety of health applications. For
example, research indicates that it is anti-bacterial,
anti-fungal, anti-viral, non-toxic and non-allergenic.
Ongoing research is finding numerous uses for Chitin and its
derivatives in areas such as: arthritis, heart, allergies,
blood pressure, immune system, tumors, digestion, wound
dressings, eye and gum treatments, sutures, and skin grafts.
For the past 20 years, chitin and its derivatives have been
used for its health benefits in Japan. In 1992, Japan’s
Health Department approved chitin and its derivatives as a
functional food.
To be considered a functional food, it should contain two of
the following 5 functions: fortification of immunity,
prevention of illness, prevention of aging, recovery from
illness, and control of biorhythm. Chitin is equipped with all
5 functions. It is no wonder that millions of people worldwide
are using chitin based dietary supplements as a part of their
wellness program.

Questions What is Chitin? Chitin is a safe, functional food
that helps the body naturally heal itself. Chitin has been
around for centuries. At one time or another it has touched
all of our lives, even yours. It’s found in crab, lobster,
and shrimp shells. It is also found in the wings of
butterflies and in mushrooms. But it wasn’t until the
1800’s that a French professor discovered this
polysaccharide. Today, Chitin is the world’s second most
abundant resource and is used for a large variety of
applications.
What Does Chitin Do? Chitin is used for a variety of
applications. It is known to have the following qualities:
Anti-Viral Anti-Bacterial

Cb>How Much Fat can chitin absorb?
Chitin can absorb up to 12 times its weight in fat. It acts
like a magnet, attracting fat, and trapping it like a
scavenger with an insatiable appetite for fats. One 250mg
tablet of chitin can attract, trap and rid the body of about 3
grams of fat..
Can I eat what I like and still not have the fat stick to my
thighs, my stomach?
The secret of chitin is that it attracts fat like a magnet,
traps it, and then expels it from the body.
What about shellfish allergies?
Chitin is non-allergenic. People with shellfish allergies are
allergic to the meat, not the fiber in the shell.
How does chitin differ from other fibers, like cereals, or
Metamucil?
Chitin and chitosan have the unique ability to attract and
bind fat making it indigestible, especially animal fat.
There are many wonderful fibers that we eat such as oat bran,
but chitin is unique in that it is magnetically attracted to
fat, especially dangerous saturated fat. Chitin is the only
fat binding fiber ever discovered. Chitin seeks out, attracts,
traps, soaks up and binds fat stopping it from being digested.
In fact, it is the only substance ever discovered that will
bind excess fat like this.
This sounds too good to be true. I can eat the foods I
normally eat? I love prime rib, but I won’t have to worry
about all that fat and adding weight and my cholesterol and
triglycerides?
Not if you take chitin about 15 minutes before your meal. Just
eat your chitin whenever you have a meal with fat. If you feel
that you can’t resist that Big Mac with French fries, then
take your chitin tablets. The fat will be expelled undigested
and will never reach your waistline. It will also not enter
your blood and be deposited in your arteries. The fat will
never get into your system. It’s isolated, sequestered,
bound up and expelled.
How do you stop fat from being digested by soaking it up?
Fat is the most difficult by far of the three sources of
calories to digest. Of these three sources—proteins,
carbohydrates and fat— fat that contains twice the calories
per gram as protein or carbohydrates. Moreover, fat is very
difficult to digest, and many digestive problems originate
with the bodies inability to digest fats. When you take chitin
, the enzymes responsible for digestion of fats cannot react
with the fat to digest it. In the few hours it is in the body
it simply is bound by the chitin, passes through the colon,
and is excreted.
You can see this for yourself with a simple kitchen
demonstration. When you mix chitin with any fat, especially
saturated animal fat such as bacon grease, in water you can
see for yourself how chitin soaks up and binds the fat. We
invite you to try this yourself. See with your own eyes the
process by which chitin works. Once bound, the chitin then
passes through your colon and out.
Can I really eat what I like and lose weight?
The amazing, almost counter intuitive, characteristic of
chitin as a dietary aide is that YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO
CHANGE EITHER YOUR HABIT OR YOUR EXERCISE ROUTINE TO LOSE
WEIGHT. If you do, then the weight loss will be dramatic, the
effects stunning in a very short period of time.
What is even more important to your health is that once you
have reached your weight goals, you can use chitin to maintain
your desired weight. The most dangerous thing you can do to
your body is yo-yo, up and down dieting. It is absolutely more
dangerous for you to lose 30-50 lbs. on some fad diet and then
put it back on again. The medical weight loss profession is
rarely unanimous on any issue, but it does agree that yo-yo
dieting is a killer, nothing is more dangerous to your long-
term health. Let me repeat that: nothing is more dangerous to
your health than yo-yo dieting, period!
The media is full of various quick weight loss plans. If I
listed them all it would take a 500 page book. None of these
plans work because even if one achieves weight loss, there is
absolutely no way to keep the weight off. You can lose a lot
of pounds on the cabbage soup diet, for example, but aside
from the fact that you lose muscle and important tissues along
with the excess fat, no one can eat cabbage for a lifetime, or
gorge on high protein meats and foods, or refrain from eating
carbohydrates. A major dietary change is simply impossible for
most people. Chitin is the miracle fiber that not only allows
you to lose weight quickly and safely, but to keep it off
permanently. After reaching your desired weight, simply keep a
bottle of chitin tablets nearby and when you feel a “Big
Mac” attack coming on or having a fattening meal, take 2-3.
You can enjoy yourself knowing the excess fat is not going to
end up on your waistline. In addition to maintaining your
desired weight, you will also enjoy the many other health
benefits described here.
How do I reduce problem areas like love handles, thunder
thighs, pot bellies and large rears? Can chitin eliminate the
fat already stored in your body?
Here are the elementary facts all dieters must understand:
1. Your body want to be thin. It’s not thin because you
won’t let it. 2. It’s fat that makes you fat. 3. It’s
NOT the protein that makes you fat. 4. It’s not the
carbohydrates that make you fat. 5. To lose weight, you have
to block the fat in your diet. 6. Let me repeat this again:
You must block the fat before it is digested and reaches your
body.
When you take chitin you soak up and eliminate the fat
calories from your diet. Your body never absorbs these fats.
It’s as if you never consumed them. Now your body can do
what it naturally wants to do: burn up the excess fat already
stored in your body. It could not do this before because each
day you were sending it more fat to store. Now that you have
eliminated these excess fat deliveries to your body, the body
will burn the excess fats and you will lose the fat for good.
I eat too much food, especially the types rich in
saturated fats I know is bad for me. I admit I’m addicted to
these foods. I simply can’t resist them. Can chitin help me?
And, if I’m very large or want faster results, can I take
extra chitin safely?
Yes, this is one dietary supplement that you can consume
safely in any quantity and the results will simply get better.
Test animals were given very large quantities, equivalent to 2
whole bottles a day (240 capsules)—50 times what we
suggest—and the test animals just got healthier. You can eat
4, 6, or 8 capsules per meal and it’s not only safe but good
for you. You’ll lose weight, your bad cholesterol levels
will plummet, your colon will be healthier, and any
indigestion and constipation problems will clear up and
disappear.
At Young Again Nutrients we have been selling chitin and
chitosan for over two years. We were the first on the internet
with it. The results for our clients have been astonishing.
Read the testimonials from our clients. We have literally
saved and changed their lives for the better. One man, who
reports to us monthly on his progress, has lost over 120 lbs.
His doctor told him that he could not expect to live any
longer than another 5-8 years at his former weight. Now, he is
looking forward to a normal life span, another 30 years of
happy and productive life.
If you suffer from an addiction to fattening foods, and
let’s face it this is the most prevalent addiction in the
western world, especially the USA, you can use chitin and
chitosan to rid yourself of the dangerous fats that you
consume daily. Use all you want, you’ll only get healthier.
We also encourage you to eat less fat and exercise more, if
possible. If that is not possible or you lack the desire and
opportunity to do so, do not despair, chitin will work for you
as it has for millions of others. If you can make a commitment
to simply walk an extra 20 minutes a day, the effects of the
chitin will be magnified. A little exercise will go a long
way. If you eat less fattening foods, you’ll notice the
difference in weight faster. If you can change your diet just
a little, eating more vegetables, fewer sweets, less meat,
broiling or baking instead of frying, just simple changes, you
can magnify the effects of the chitin and lose that weight
quickly and safely.
If you have difficulties with your appetite, we recommend that
you use Young Again’s Appetite Suppressor. Not only will our
Appetite Suppressor reduce your appetite but it also acts as a
herbal fat burner that boosts your metabolism burning calories
faster than your normal rate. It also is an energizer that
increases your desire for all types of physical and mental
activities that burns further extra calories. In addition, it
also has plenty of anti-oxidants and other wonderful herbs and
vitamins that replenish your body with essential nutrients.
If you are really committed to rapid, safe weight loss, then
you should also boost your body’s metabolism with DHEA and
other essential hormones such as pregnenolone and melatonin.
These hormones are produced naturally in the body but fall
rapidly after the age of 30. Replenishing them allows you to
boost your metabolism while improving your muscle tone, mental
acuity, and sleep patterns.
I eat steak, potatoes and gravy at least four times a week.
Can chitin help me?
Let’s face it, saturated fat is what tastes best to us. Many
of us were raised on it. It’s the “American Diet”.
It’s also the reason why Americans are the heaviest people
sin the world, heavier than the Germans, the British, the
Scandinavians, even our neighbors to the north, the Canadians.
Most of us are not going to change.
The American Heart Association recommends that we get no more
than 30% of our calories from fat. The average American gets
55% from fat, and most of that from the most unhealthy of
fats, the saturated animal fats, which are so dangerous to our
health. This is the fat that clogs our arteries leading to
heart attacks, strokes, congestive heart failure, diabetes,
all types of cancers, and simply shortens our lives, usually
making the last few years miserable and painful. Those with
resources usually end up spending tens of thousands on heart
bypasses, heart and artery replacements, and all sorts of
dangerous heart and cholesterol medications. Our diet is
simply making the medical profession and the pharmaceutical
companies richer by the day. No wonder, why information on
simple long-term weight reduction, like chitin, is concealed
from the public and pooh-pooed by the medical establishment.
They are getting rich off you being sick. They really do not
want you to know about chitin, if they can help it. The
reason: they can’t patent it and sell it to you for $10 a
capsule! If they could, you would be buying chitin for $240 a
bottle rather than the usual $25 to $15 a bottle.
How can only 4 capsules a day really help me lose weight?
Only four capsules a day can soak up to 12 grams of saturated
animal fats every day, which is about 130 calories. That adds
up to about 4000 calories a month. These are FAT CALORIES, the
type that make you fat, NOT the proteins and carbohydrates
that we need to live. It’s not the proteins and
carbohydrates that are making you fat and unhealthy. IT IS THE
FAT. And if you take 4 capsules with lunch and 4 with dinner
that will be 8000 calories of fat a month, equivalent to at
least 3 pounds. Add that up over a year and it’s nearly 40
pounds. Of course, you can take all the chitin you want to
achieve your desired results.
Add that 20-minute walk, jog or exercise
routine and the results will astound you. Eat a few less fats
and sugars and watch the pounds melt off. Just remember one
thing, chitin keeps that weight off permanently. You can surf
the web and spend a fortune on all sorts of nostrums of
dubious value, but they all have one big problem: yo-yo, up
and down dieting that is far more dangerous than the weight
you carried before.
Who can take chitin?
Anyone who is overweight or suffering from high cholesterol,
irritable bowel syndrome and other problems described here can
benefit from taking chitin: the elderly, the middle aged, even
children. People with pre-existing illnesses, pregnant or
lactating women are advised to consult a physician before
taking any supplement.
There are over 300 published scientific studies on the effects
of chitin and chitosan. Not a single adverse side effect has
been identified. Chitin and chitosan have been used for
decades in Japan with no side effects. It is safe for all ages
of people.
I have high LDL or bad cholesterol levels. Will chitin help
me?
People who eat excess fats usually suffer from high
cholesterol and triglydercides. The reason is obvious: this
condition usually originates or is made far worse by eating
saturated animal fats. When chitin soaks up this excess fat,
it does not enter your blood system and leave those dangerous
deposits in your arteries and vital organs. Your cholesterol
levels decline naturally without the use of dangerous and very
expensive drugs with frightening side effects.
What if I’m lazy and don’t want to diet or exercise? So
can I still eat the foods I love and lose weight?
You don’t have to change a thing about your life for chitin
to work. It would be better if you did, but this is one time
you can obtain benefits without doing a thing except take your
chitin capsules before each fattening meal. Let’s say you
want prime rib. Just take, say, 6 capsules of chitin and enjoy
yourself. You’re not being asked to stop eating the foods
you like as long as you faithfully take your chitin with your
fattening meals.
Studies have shown that animals fed pure cholesterol in their
feed were also given chitin. The result was that their
cholesterol levels did not increase at all. The control
animals, which were fed the cholesterol without chitin saw
their cholesterol levels go through the roof.
The fact is that you are going to enjoy all sorts of health
benefits when taking chitin. You are going to become a
healthier person while losing weight. If you take your chitin
regularly before each fattening meal, you are going to keep
this weight off
Why haven’t I heard of Chitin Before?
Chitin is a unique substance. There is no other substance like
it in the world. The Japanese have been using it for decades
as a dietary supplement. They actually developed it to treat
other medical conditions that we have outlined here. It was
during their extensive research that it was learned that
chitin and chitosan. There has never been a safe, dietary
supplement that would absorb fat, soak it up, bind it and pass
it through the digestive system and excrete it without being
digested. It’s been used in the U.S. now for about two
years. It has been used by almost 2 million Americans and
there have been no reported adverse side effects and lots of
reports that it helped these people solve their weight loss
problems. People return to buy again and again.
Testimonials
“Less Pressure” I have experienced hypertension (high
blood pressure) since I was 15 years old. After being on
medication for 16 years, it was decided that surgery might
help where medications had not. Unfortunately, the surgery was
unsuccessful, and my blood pressure remained at 160/105 even
with medication. However, two years ago I was introduced to a
chitin tablet product. After taking the product for six months
I was amazed that my blood pressure had dropped to a safe
level of 130/90. Even though I still take my medication,
chitin has enabled me to maintain a normal blood pressure
reading and better overall health. Karen McMannus
“Chitin saved my life”
I’m 41 years old and have always been obese. I have tried
every diet in the world to lose this weight. I didn’t want
to be slim, just healthy. I tried them all, every last one of
them. Sometimes I would lose some weight but in a few weeks I
gained it all back and finally I tipped the scales at 330
pounds. I stand 6 ft tall. I visited my doctor for a check up
and he told me that he didn’t think I would live to see 45.
Not only was I 150 pounds over weight but my cholesterol
levels were through he ceiling. I was developing, at age 39,
hardening of the arteries and my heart was having problems
because of all the fat that had accumulated around the aorta.
It was then I saw a TV infomercial featuring that explained
that chitin could help people like me. Well, I’ve tried
everything else, so I thought I would give this a try. I
bought 3 bottles and took the tablets as directed. After a
month I had lost over 16 pounds. No change in diet, no change
in exercise. Today, a year later I’ve lost 121 pounds and my
cholesterol is normal! My doctor says I’ll live to be an old
man. I’m a believer. I’m now using chitin to keep the
weight off while I lose a few more extra pounds.
Marcella Boyle “Healing Quickly”
In March of 1996, I was diagnosed with colon cancer. In April,
I had surgery to remove the tumor. After surgery, the doctor
told me I had a 75 percent chance that the cancer would return
within two years. He advised me to have a full round of
chemotherapy to reduce the chance of recurrence to 55 percent.
I chose not to have the chemotherapy. I started seeing a
nutritionist. He told me about chitin, and I began to take 3
tablets per day (in addition to many other supplements). In
July of 1996, I had surgery to repair a hernia from the colon
surgery. I continued to take the chitin and my other
supplements, and I stayed well and strong until May 1997, when
a routine blood test indicated the cancer had recurred. At
this time, I began to take 30 tablets of chitin per day to
prepare myself for the surgery I knew I would have to have.
After many more tests, I had more abdominal surgery on June
30th. But this time, I was amazed at how quickly I began to
heal. Even the doctors and nurses were amazed, and I was
released from the hospital two days earlier than usual. In
fact, I felt so good I was back in my Tai Chi class the week
after surgery. I am back on my maintenance program of three
250mg. capsules of chitin per day, and I look healthy and feel
wonderful. I will continue to be monitored every three months
by my oncologist, and I hope to win this battle against
cancer. And I am so glad to have a product like chitin, which
has so dramatically improved my quality of life.
