I was taking
Daily Essentials prior to getting pregnant with twins.
My Doctor advised me to continue to take them as my
pre-natal vitamins but because I was pregnant with
twins he recommend that I take double the daily amount
(which is recommended with any pre-natal vitamin when
pregnant with multiples). I began taking 6 DE daily at
4 weeks, by my 12th week visit my doctor did an
additional ultrasound and measurements. They boys were
growing very fast. The Dr “re-evaluated” my DE and
noticed that they were an all natural vitamin. He said
“that my body is absorbing 100% of the all natural
vitamin therefore I only need to take a normal dose 3
a day” He then explained that usually only 25-35% of
a synthetic vitamin (typical pre-natal) is absorbed
and utilized in the body, that is why when you are
pregnant with multiples you need to take double the
vitamins. My boys were born 5 weeks early and weighed
5.3 and 5.8 pounds, both scored 9/9 on apgar and came
home from the hospital in 2 days. My doctor strongly
attributed their health to the vitamins and minerals I
was taking prior to and during my pregnancy.
