INGREDIENTS
QUERCETIN
May be the strongest of natures anti-inflammatories. Numerous
studies have shown it effective in treating a wide range of
prostate related problems. A recent published study demonstrates
quercitin provides long-term symtomatic relief with few side
effects to men that are afflicted with nonbacterial prostatitis.
Please read about Quercetin's Role in the treatment of chronic
prostatitus:
BOSWELLIA
Boswellia is a potent herb best known for fighting the
inflammation of arthritis and ulcerative colitis Boswellia helps
to inhibit the formation of Leukotriene B4, which causes
inflammation.Boswella may help with almost any disorder involving
involving inflammation and Leukotriene. Boswellia is an herb which
has an anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic action in acute and
chronic models of inflammation. It does not produce an analgesic
effect, but suppresses inflammation, the underlying cause of pain.
Boswellia reduces joint swelling and morning stiffness, increases
mobility and reduces arthritic pain.
Leukotrienes are considered to be involved in the initiation
and continuation of a variety of inflammatory diseases such as
arthritis, rheumatism, colitis, psoriasis, asthma, etc.
Leukotrienes cause inflammation by promoting free radical damage,
calcium dislocation, autoimmune responses, cell adhesion and the
migration of inflammatory producing cells to the inflamed body
area. Boswella blocks the synthesis of leukotrienes, which is how
it inhibits inflammation.
BETA SITOSTEROL
Beta-sitosterol is the active ingredient in saw palmetto
berries, which have been used for centuries to treat patients
with prostate and urinary problems. The active ingredient in saw
palmetto as well as other herbal remedies such as pygeum,
stinging nettle, and pumpkin seeds is beta-sitosterol. Each
HEALTHY PROSTATE capsule contains 75 mg of beta-sitosterol. You
would have to eat 1/2 lb. of saw palmetto to get the same amount
of beta-sitosterol as we have in ONE tablet. HEALTHY PROSTATE is
3000 times more beta sitosterol than saw palmetto.
Read our research and learn that there are many other healing
benefits from using beta-sitosterol. I cannot make any health
claims because of FDA Regulations but these studies show that
beta-sitosterol can be used to cure such conditions as cancer,
tumors, diabetes, blood clotting, ulcers, arteriosclerosis,
alopecia, and inflammation. Don't take my word for this, read
the studies. I published them for you to request and read.
What you read will start you on the way to greater comfort
and allow you to live a full and active lifestyle. It may well
save your life as well. Prostate cancers kill almost as many men
as all other forms of cancer put together. OK, here's a quick
summary of the published research on beta-sitosterol:
Beta-sitosterol is the miraculous common denominator in saw
palmetto, Pygeum africanum, pumpkinseed oil, stinging nettles,
and other natural prostate remedies.
Each HEALTHY PROSTATE capsule contains 75 mg. of pure natural
mixed beta-sitosterols from plant sources
Numerous international scientific journals have published
scientific studies that prove that beta-sitosterol is the most
effective remedy known for prostate problems. Journals like the
International Journal of Immunopharmacol, 1996; The Lancet,
1995; European Journal of Drug Metab., 1997; Anticancer
Research, 1996; European Patent EP 287,000, Minerva Urologia,
1985; British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, 1984;
Medizinische Klinik, 1982; European Urology, 1992 and 1994, and
Fortsher. Med., 1980. Beta-sitosterol is already in your diet in
common foods we eat every day but only in small amounts. It is
completely safe and without side effects.
Herbal extracts are sold in Germany and France by
prescription only under the names Harzal and Permixon. They are
expensive and contain only a small fraction of the beta-sitosterol
contained in a single caplet of HEALTHY PROSTATE. Even the best
herbal extracts sold in the U.S. contain only small amounts of
beta-sitosterol, and most of them require that you take 6 or
more tablets a day.
Each year over 400,000 men in the United States alone undergo
prostate surgery and over a billion dollars a year is spent on
prostate treatment. Proscar, the leading drug, is highly
dangerous and according to the United States Veteran's
Administration is no more effective than sugar pills. Surgery
often results in incontinence and impotence. Are you ready to
wear diapers, suffer castration, and never have sex again?
Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of death for men
after lung cancer. 90% of prostate cancer goes undetected until
it is untreatable and has spread to the lymphatic system. By the
age of 50, 35% of men have cancer cells in their prostate.
Odds are 2 to 1 you'll have prostate problems by the time you
are 60. By age 65 most men have enlarged prostates. The first
signs are night urination and difficult urination. Literally 97%
of all men will be affected with prostate problems during their
lifetime. You may be asking why one or several of the major U.S.
pharmaceutical companies do not offer HEALTHY PROSTATE. The
reason is that in the U.S. they cannot patent herbal extracts
and charge the $5 or more a tablet they do for highly dangerous
and ineffective treatments like Proscar. The answer is simply
greed and indifference to your health. Has your doctor told you
of the side-effects of frequently prescribed drugs?
FLOWER POLLEN EXTRACT
Rye Pollen Flower provides relief for many prostate-related
issues that are experienced by the majority of men over 40-years
of age. The main ingredient is rye pollen. All possible
allergens and impurities are removed by a very sophisticated and
complex process. GramminexT can yield prostate health benefits
within weeks, rather than the months which are typical of other
nutritional supplements for prostate health.
>Rye Pollen Flower has been shown to provide the
following benefits:
- Reduction in prostate congestion
- Decrease number of nighttime bathroom trips (urinary
frequency) urinary urgency and hesitancy
- Improved ability to fully empty the bladder (via
relaxation of urethral smooth muscles); also helps women
with bladder control issues
- Inhibition of the binding of 5-alpha-dihydrotestosterone (DHT)
to prostate cells
- Rye Pollen Flower can yield prostate health benefits
within weeks, rather than the months which are typical of
other nutritional supplements for prostate health.
- Rye Pollen Flower has a calming effect upon spasms of the
musculature of the smooth muscles of the urethra and bladder
neck. It improves contractibility of the bladder and reduces
inflammation. Because it exerts a broad effect upon the
tissues of the urethra and the bladder Rye Pollen Flower,
offers benefits to women as well as men. Women experiencing
an involuntary loss of urine when laughing, coughing,
lifting a heavy object, or sneezing, or find them being
woken from a deep sleep to urinate, will benefit from taking
Rye Pollen Flower to enhance and promote better bladder
control.
- Rye Pollen Flower is also a potent antioxidant, immune
system enhancer, liver protector, and has
energy/anti-fatigue effects. Rye Pollen Flower has been used
in clinical settings to promote better wound healing,
shorten convalescence time after surgery, and enhance sports
performance
- Rye Pollen Flower is a specialized extract designed for
the purpose of promoting urogenital health. It is a
proprietary combination of water-soluble and lipid-soluble
fractions prepared from a defined set of flower pollen
sources. The main ingredient is rye pollen. All possible
allergens and impurities are removed by a very sophisticated
and complex process. The active ingredients are standardized
according to proprietary amino acid and phytosterol content
profiles, which assures you a consistent product every
bottle, every time. There have been no reported serious
toxic or allergenic reactions for decades, and no issues of
intolerance. Caution is advised for those using flower
pollen extracts from unknown origins.
Rye Pollen Flower was developed through a proprietary process
that requires the pollen of 10,000 plant tops to produce one
kilogram of extract. All possible allergens and impurities are
removed, and then a very sophisticated process is used to
extract out the hydrophilic and the lipophilic fractions, both
of are active in genitor-urinary tract issues. For example, the
lipophilic fraction has demonstrated an inhibition of the
5-alpha-reductase (responsible for the production of DHT) as
well as the cyclooxygenase pathway, which is involved in the
inflammatory process. The hydrophilic fraction has demonstrated
anti-proliferative actions against the prostate cells. In other
words, it helps to defend the prostate against problematic cell
growth.
Mechanisms of Action
- Relaxes smooth muscles, and helps facilitate voiding of
the bladder and reduce residual urine
- Improves bladder contractility (and control)
- Inhibits prostate epithelial and stromal cell growth
- Inhibits the arachidonic acid cascade, which is involved
in inflammatory processes
- Potent antioxidant properties
- Reduces the effects of cadmium (a suspected inducer of
prostate enlargement)
- Protects the liver from some toxins
- Enhances immune system function
The following properties of pollen extracts serve to help
protect the prostate from enlargement:
- Inhibits the formation of DHT by inhibiting alpha-reductase
enzyme activity
- Improves the clearance of DHT and its end products from
prostate cells
- Effectively increases zinc levels in the prostate, and
zinc exerts a major impact upon the clearance of DHT.
(Taking zinc orally will not necessarily increase levels of
zinc in the prostate.)
- Reduces the binding of DHT to its prostate cell receptor
site (alpha 1-receptor)
IP6
IP6 contains 500 mg of purified Inositol hexaphosphate (IP6)
from brown rice extracted in Japan. IP6 is a phosphorylated form
of Inositol commonly found in fiber-rich plant foods. IP6 is
hydrolyzed by phytase enzymes in the digestive tract to yield
inositol. IP6 supports natural cell defense against damaging
hydroxyl free radicals by chelating with reactive iron
CURCUMIN
Curcumin is a potent antioxidant with specific antiviral,
anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer and cholesterol-lowering effects.
Curcumin is especially recommended for hepatitis C patients.
One study found it to be more effective than green tea extract
in suppressing viral damage to liver cells. Curcumin induces
cancer cell apoptosis. Apoptosis can be defined simply as
programmed cancer cell death. Cancer researchers are focusing in
on agents that induce apoptosis as the next generation of cancer
drugs. Many of the nutrients in the cancer treatment protocol
such as selenium, vitamin A, green tea and vitamin D3 induce
apoptosis.
The most effective nutrient available to induce apoptosis may
be curcumin. Curcumin is an antioxidant extract from the spice
turmeric that produces a wide range of health benefits. Cancer
patients should be taking 2000 mg to 4000 mg a day of curcumin
extract with a heavy meal. In a wide range of cancer cells,
curcumin has been shown to induce cell shrinkage, chromatin
condensation, DNA fragmentation and block cellular signal
transduction, all of which are characteristics of apoptosis
according to an article published in the journal Nutrition
and Cancer USA
Curcumin is the biologically active component of the
turmeric plant, a member of the ginger family. Besides its
well-known culinary history-turmeric is what gives curry
dishes their distinctive color and flavor-turmeric has been
used in Ayurvedic medicine for several thousand years in India
for a number of medical conditions.
In the Ayurvedic system of medicine, turmeric has been
prescribed for the treatment of common colds, coughs,
jaundice, and upper respiratory disorders1. The next time you
feel a cold coming on, try this old Indian remedy: open a
capsule or two of curcumin into a small amount of honey. Mix
it and eat. You'll feel better almost immediately.
East Indian healers have used turmeric as an anti-viral
agent as well. As recently as March of 1993, researchers
published a study that indicated curcumin from turmeric as an
ally in the treatment against HIV.2 The information in the
study was suggestive at best, but the in-vitro results
couldn't be overlooked: curcumin was effective in inhibiting
the replication of HIV in both acutely infected and
chronically infected cells.
Turmeric has traditionally been used as a stomach aid as
well. Scientists have isolated oils from the root of the
turmeric plant, which have the ability to reduce excess gas in
the stomach and intestines. Cineol, camphor, and linalool are
also found in turmeric extracts and they have anti-spasmodic
properties (this would explain the common Asian prescription
of turmeric powder for stomach aches). An additional oil found
in turmeric extracts is Borneal, a substance that helps
indigestion.
Perhaps the most exciting application of turmeric (or its
isolated active ingredient curcumin) is as an
anti-inflammatory agent. Chinese and Indian systems of
medicine have used turmeric both topically and internally to
fight inflammation. Scientists have found that curcumin
inhibits hyaluronidase activity. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme
that is released by the body to protect itself at the site of
an injury, but the continued release of this enzyme then
causes inflammation and infection. Regular consumption of
curcumin can keep the hyaluronidase levels in check.
One application yet to be frequently prescribed by health
professionals is curcumin's use to combat arthritis-related
inflammation. In fact, a very effective protocol against
arthritis may be the combination of curcumin with glucosamines.
A suggested dose of curcumin would be a 500 mg. extract four
to six times per day along with 1500 mg. of either glucosamine
sulfate or glucosamine hydrochloride. Please consult a
physician or qualified health advisor before starting any new
nutrition program.
Curcumin is currently being studied as an anti-inflammatory
(Mukhopadhyay A, et al. 1982. Agents and Actions 12(4):
508-515), as a possible cancer inhibitor (Mukundan MA, tet al.
1993. Carcinogenesis 14(3): 493-496), and as an inhibitor of
several different kinds of tumor cells (Feb Leners, 1994
Mar.14, 341(1):19-22), and for many other medical uses.
In summary, Curcumin may be helpful as a common cold aid,
an anti-viral, a stomach and intestinal soother, and an
anti-inflammatory agent. Turmeric, the source of curcumin
extract, is extremely well tolerated, and has been used on a
daily basis by many Asian cultures.
CAT'S CLAW
Peruvian Cat's Claw (Uña de Gato) bark (Uncaria tomentosa).
This amazing vine from the Peruvian rain forest is a powerful
anti-inflmmatory with curative properties are almost unlimited.
This is because the herb is considered a powerful cellular
reconstitutor. Studies beginning in 1970 and continuing through
today suggest it has applications in the treatment of bladder
and prostate infections, cancer, arthritis, gastritis, ulcers,
rheumatism, acne, organic depression, bursitis, genital herpes
and herpes zoster, allergies, systematic candidiasis, diabetes,
lupus, chronic fatigue syndrome, PMS, irregularities of the
female cycle, environmental toxic poisoning, numerous bowel and
intestinal disorders and those infected with the HIV virus.
Studies done at the Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese
Medicine indicate that rynchophylline, an alkaloid contained in
cat's claw bark, has the ability to inhibit platelet aggregation
and Thrombosis, which suggests that the compound in this plant
may be useful in preventing strokes and reducing the risk of
heart attack by lowering blood pressure, increasing circulation,
and inhibiting both the formation of plaque on the arterial
walls and the formation of blood clots in the brain, heart and
arteries. Do not use with anti-ulcer medications. Not
recommended if pregnant or nursing.
GREEN TEA
Green Tea Parts used and where grown: All teas (green, black,
and oolong) are derived from the same plant, Camellia sinensis.
The difference is in how the plucked leaves are prepared. The
leaves of the tea plant are used both as a social and medicinal
beverage. Green tea, unlike black and oolong tea, is not
fermented, so the active constituents remain unaltered in the
herb.
The known health conditions where green tea has been found to
be an effective treatment or preventative:
- cancer risk reduction
- gingivitis (periodontal disease)
- high cholesterol
- high blood pressure
- high triglycerides
- immune function
- prostate health
Historical or traditional use: According to Chinese legend,
tea was discovered accidentally by an emperor 4,000 years ago.
Since then, traditional Chinese medicine has recommended green
tea for headaches, body aches and pains, digestion, depression,
immune enhancement, detoxification, as an energizer, and to
prolong life. Modern research has confirmed many of these health
benefits.
Active constituents: Green tea contains volatile oils,
vitamins, minerals, and caffeine, but the active constituents
are polyphenols, particularly the catechin called
epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). The polyphenols are believed to
be responsible for most of green tea's roles in promoting good
health.1
Research demonstrates that green tea guards against
cardiovascular disease in many ways. Green tea lowers total
cholesterol levels and improves the cholesterol profile (the
ratio of LDL cholesterol to HDL cholesterol), reduces platelet
aggregation, and lowers blood pressure.2 3 4 5 The polyphenols
in green tea have also been shown to lessen the risk of cancers
of several sites, stimulate the production of several immune
system cells, and have anti-bacterial properties -- even against
the bacteria that cause dental plaque.6 7 8
RESVERATROL
Resveratrol is the potent anti-aging compound found in red
wine and tha thas been found to cut a man's risk of prostate
cancer in half. Not only that but the protective effect appears
to be strongest against the most aggressive forms of the
disease, according to a new study led by investigators at Fred
Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. The findings, by Janet L.
Stanford, Ph.D., and colleagues in Fred Hutchinson's Public
Health Sciences Division, appear online in The International
Journal of Cancer.
"We found that men who consumed four or more glasses of
red wine per week reduced their risk of prostate cancer by 50
percent," Stanford said. "Among men who consumed four
or more 4-ounce glasses of red wine per week, we saw about a 60
percent lower incidence of the more aggressive types of prostate
cancer," said Stanford, senior author of the study.
"The more clinically aggressive prostate cancer is where
the strongest reduction in risk was observed." That
compound in red wine, Stanford and colleagues found, is an
antioxidant called resveratrol, which is abundant in the skins
of red grapes but much less so in the skins of white grapes. The
compound is also found in peanuts and raspberries and is
available as a dietary supplement, which has been suggested to
protect against cardiovascular disease. Laboratory studies
indicate that resveratrol influences a variety of biological
pathways that are important in cancer development. For example:
- As an antioxidant, it helps sweep dangerous,
cancer-causing free radicals from the body.
- As a potent anti-inflammatory agent, it blocks certain
enzymes that promote tumor development.
- The compound also reduces cell proliferation, curtailing
the number of cell divisions that could lead to cancer or
the continued growth of cancer cells.
- It also enhances apoptosis, or programmed cell death,
which helps rid the body of cancerous cells.
- It may act as an estrogen, reducing levels of circulating
male hormones such as DHT that fuel the growth of prostate
cancer.
BIOPERENE
The metabolic process that generates energy at the cellular
level in our body is called thermogenesis. While thermogenesis
has typically been categorized as a key factor in weight loss,
to confine the scope of its function to this aspect alone is
incomplete. Thermogenesis plays an integral role in our body's
ability to properly utilize the daily foods and nutrients we
take in. It sets in motion the mechanisms that lead to digestion
and subsequent gastrointestinal absorption. Piperine, in the
patented form of BioperineT enhances the body's natural
thermogenic activity - hence the term ThermonutrientT.
This combination of natural supplements can be very helpful
to improve prostate health.
ZINC PICOLINATE
Zinc Picolinate is natural delivery from of Zinc –an
essential mineral in human and animal nutrition with a wide
range of biological roles. Zinc is required for a number of
immune functions. Picolinic acid is produced in the pancreas and
forms a complex with Zinc. This biochemical complex facilitates
the passage of zinc through the gastrointestinal wall and into
the circulatory system.
Thus Zinc Picolinate represents a natural and optimal
delivery form of zinc, with the added advantage of greater
tolerance, better absorption dynamics and greater safety.
Requirements
The Food and Nutrition Board of the Nutrition Board of the
National Academy of Sciences has recommended the following

Picolinic acid as a delivery form of Zinc
In order for minerals in food to be utilized within the cells
of the body, they must first be extracted from food, carried
through the intestinal membranes, transported in the blood
stream, and finally carried through the cell membrane to the
interior cellular mechanisms. There are several barriers to this
process. The most difficult being the intestinal wall. The cells
that line the intestinal wall present a negative charge on the
membrane surface. Minerals that have been dissolved in the
digestive fluid which have lost their neutrality and have become
positively charged will be attracted to the membrane and held
tightly. In this instance, the minerals will not be allowed to
pass through, and will remain held to the wall until another
secretion cleanses them away. A process called chelation
accomplishes this feat for some of the minerals, while for
others the electrical charge attraction is as strong. Chelators
are organic molecules that have their electrical charges
arranged in such a way as to attract the positively charged
mineral and temporarily tuck the mineral into a larger complex.
Thus, with the mineral ion’s positive charge shielded by the
large chelator molecule, the complex appears to be neutral or
negatively charged and will not be held by the membrane as it
passes through.
Picolinic acid is the body’s prime natural chelator. There
is an important reason for the body to construct this molecule.
It is the most efficient chelator for minerals such as chromium,
zinc, manganese, copper, iron, and perhaps molybdenum.
Picolinic acid is produced from the amino acid tryptophan in
the liver and kidneys, and is transported to the pancreas.
During digestion, Picolinic acid is secreted from the pancreas
into the intestine.
Mineral uptake by tissues is far greater when then mineral is
a Picolinate, rather than the other forms. Since our bodies
utilize picolinic acid to absorb and transport certain minerals,
and our cells recognize mineral picolinates and readily use
them, it makes sense to design mineral supplements based on this
knowledge.

Role of Zinc in human nutrition
Zinc is involved in number of biologically important
processes in human system
- Normal growth and development: Zinc plays important
roles in bone growth and mineralization and the development
of reproductive organs.
- Maintaining healthy skin and bones: Zinc deficiency
is linked to various skin disorders, including eczema, acne,
and excessive flaking similar to what occurs in psoriasis.
Hair becomes dull and lifeless looking.
- Metabolic processes: Zinc is a component of various
enzyme systems, and it is essential for the synthesis and
metabolism of proteins and genetic material. The red blood
cells also need zinc for the proper transfer of carbon
dioxide.
- Healing and immune function: Zinc promotes the
healing of burns common infections.
- Taste and smell: Zinc’s role in these senses
enables a person to distinguish the taste of different
foods.
Physiologically, zinc is vital for growth and developments,
sexual maturation and reproduction, dark vision adaptation,
olfactory and gustatory activity, insulin storage and release
and for a variety of host immune defenses, among other things.
Zinc deficiency can result in growth retardation, immune
dysfunction, increased incidence of infections, hyypogonadism,
oligospermia, anorexia, diarrhea, weight loss, delayed wound
healing, neural tube defects of the fetus, increased risk for
abortion, alopecia, mental lethargy and skin changes.
Zinc may have immunomodulatory activity. Zinc has putative
antiviral, fertility- enhancing and retinoprotective activities.
Zinc is also very important to the newborn when breast milk
may be its only source of Zinc.
Zinc is needed for the development of neutrophils and natural
killer cells in the non-specific immune defense as well as
acquired immunity that is attained through the activities of
T-lymphocytes and B-lymphocytes.
The usefulness of Zinc to promote wound healing in the
presence of low plasma zinc has been firmly established.
Use of zinc promoted the repair process of the damaged
vascular tissue through stimulus of the lipoxygenase pathway
that mediates response to endogenous growth factors in the
healing process. Zinc compounds also hasten the healing of
gastric ulcers.
It is observed that the common theme throughout research
points to the fact that zinc plays an essential role in tissue
healing.
Deficiency symptoms
Even borderline zinc deficiency or disturbances in Zinc
metabolism can have profound adverse health effects. Those at
greatest risk of such deficiencies and disturbances include
infants, children, and the elderly and pregnant women. Due to
conditions that can limit the bioavailability of zinc, even when
there is adequate zinc intake, zinc deficiency may affect still
larger population.
Among diseases and conditions associated with zinc deficiency
are alcoholism, malabsorption syndromes, acrodermatitis
enteropatica, anorexia nervosa, thermal burns and total parental
nutrition without zinc supplementation.

Zinc Picolinate as a nutritional supplement
The study was a double-blind, placebo-controlled, cross-over
clinical trial, and the results showed that red blood cell
levels, blood serum levels, and hair levels of zinc all improved
best with zinc Picolinate.
Supplement users, in fact, note that since zinc Picolinate is
so well assimilated, the amount needed may be only one-third as
much as normally taken for supplemental Purposes.
Zinc Picolinate is absorbed in the body to a higher degree
than various other inorganic salts.
Zinc Picolinate has the greatest efficacy in reversing the
zinc deficiency in acrodermatitis enteropathica, a rare genetic
disorder.
Picolinic acid is a tryptophan metabolite. Patients with
acrodermatitis enteropathica have a defect in the metabolism of
tryptophan, which leads to picolinic acid deficiency. Zinc
Picolinate helps to correct this deficiency.
Administration of zinc as zinc Picolinate is effective for
patients with zinc deficiency and idiopathic taste disorder.

SELENIUM
Selenium Select : a bioavailable and safe form of selenium
supplementation
Selenium Select L(+)- SELENOMETHIONINE
CAS # : 3211-76-5
Synonym : (S)-(+)-2-Amino-4(methylseleno)-butanoic acid
Specific rotation: between +17.0o and +19.5o (Test solution:
10mg per ml, in 1 N HCL)
Sabinsa Corporation offers manufacturers two grades of L-(+)
Selenomethionine:
- Pure L-(+)-Selenomethionine (containing a minimum of 40%
elemental selenium)
- A triturated product with dicalcium phosphate, which
contains 5,000 mcg per gram (0.5% elemental selenium).
It is important to recognize that "chelates" and
"organically bound" forms of selenium are not similar
to Sabinsa’s L-(+)-Selenomethionine. Both these forms release
inorganic selenium into the body. Sabinsa’s product is unique
in that the selenomethionine is a single chemical entity
containing molecularly integrated selenium.
- This makes L-(+)-Selenomethionine not only safer, but more
bioavailable than other dry "blended" selenium and
methionine products. Organically bound selenium has garnered
heavy media attention as a pivotal component in the body’s
detoxifying system and for its role in the prevention of
disease.
- L-(+)-Selenomethionine administered in the form of
selenomethionine containing yeast was found to be effective
in reducing the risk of cancer in a significant study.
L-(+)-Selenomethionine is the preferred form of selenium
supplementation due to its inherent safety and its
scientific recognition as the most bioavailable form of
selenium.
